Where do we go from here.... where to go?

So, by title, we've reached the end... what's next?

Here's a little taste of 2/6/10.

We'll have more soon, after we get back from California

One day to touchdown (not football)

So in 25 hours we'll be landing in San Diego.

Weather forecasts are mixed, we're hoping for more sunshine and no rain, but there are plans either way!
Everything that can be done has been done, guest list finalized, numbers double checked, plans announced,
warnings for showing up late to photos given... you know who you are! Today it's vote (often) and finalize packing,
write the insurance guy, get a pedicure, and maybe even try to relax a bit.

The past few weeks have been busy, guess that's why no new posts... in the post wedding blog era, we all really need
to get "TS" to work on blog entries! If we're lucky there will be a baby blog in 2010.... but don't get ahead of things, before that will probably be posts about the soon to be adopted Labrador, we have our home visit from Midwest Lab Rescue on Feb 20th!!!!!! Also, Wrigley, the uber-humper will move home too, I'm guessing Geneva will love me even more for that (as well as Steve)!!!

So a lot of you have probably seen pics of the dress.... not me! but I have seen the shoes! And in true Tracy fashion....they're Pink... HOT PINK!

Once we get to La Jolla, there will be plenty left to do, hair appointments, nails, nails again, and heck, maybe some more nails, and hair again, buy beer, drink beer, buy more beer, drink, maybe pass out! Then there will be Saturday, pics, more pics and even more pics! Dancing, imbibing, smearing of cake in unsuspecting brides face.... :) more dancing, bouquet tossing, garter grabbing, and probably a fair share of tears!

But until then... here's a peak at the shoes....even my pair of AE Merlot Wingtips!

Steak, it's what's for dinner, Grandma, etc.

So the Steak wins as the as the almost unanimous choice for dinner...whoppin' the chicken's (tail feathers) 69-13! Now if there had been walleye on the menu... I'm guessin' more than a few Minnesotans (and my folks) would have gone fishing! The final tally is 102 with Tracy and I and the two photographers... hmmm, gotta check Tim the DJ.

We're three weeks from right now (not including time change) Not much left to do... rehearsal dinner invites are on their way, Tracy has the final dress fitting, and I need to get my suite tailored!

For today, we're laying low after a morning of working out, we're up in Wisconsin with the Brown Family and taking a rest before the final assault on the wedding plans and flying to San Diego!

The only downer came this week when it turns out my 92 year-old grandma wont' be able to make the trip :*( Guess we'll have to see if we can't do a video for her!

Can't wait to see everyone out there! Stay tuned!

The Wedding Beard

....check, check, check....anyone here?

OK, so the past two weeks have flown by, so much to do yet with four weeks to go before the big day.

What can I tellya? Tracy is on a airplane coming in San Francisco after a quick one night-two day trip. Been pretty crazy on my side, covered that plane crash near us on Tuesday and a host of other assignments. Oh, and it's snowing again.

So I decided to follow a long held Sartin tradition, dating back to the early 1800's all Sartin men have grown a beard for their wedding... here is the start of mine. Thoughts?

Greetings from Snowy & Wintery Nebraska

The quick flight home to Nebraska became an 8 hour drive after we feared that more flights would be canceled on Wednesday. Braving some icy conditions and dodging a drunk
driver outside of Council Bluffs. Thursday we saw lots of ice and snow and high winds and that has continued today. Friday saw a great time with family and Grandma who turned 92 yesterday has shown up and is celebrating both her b-day and the holiday.

Missing our Minnesota and Illinois families, but we'll see you all soon! So we're trying out our new flip video camera (Thanks Todd!!!!!!)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!! Tracy and Shaun

CSO

I'll have to admit it... aside from when I go as a photographer, I don't hit the finer things in society often. On Friday we tagged along with the Keeler Clan on their annual trek to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. A rather fun interpretation of the holiday with more tongue and cheek humor than I would have imagined and included a visit from Ole St. Nick too. Prior to that a full on feast at Big Bowl. Not a great deal for my continuing efforts to upgrade my waistline (aka lose weight) before the wedding. I made up some of that today with a 3.25 mile excursion on the treadmill burning 585 calories according to the heart rate monitor.

Tracy has been running the past two weeks with two four-day trips to Vancouver, BC and Mnps, MN. Needless to say coming into the final stretch of the holiday, she can now see the light at the end of the tunnel. Now we just have to prep for a few days in Omaha for Christmas.

Anyway, if we haven't said so... Happy Holidays to all and Merry Christmas!

Shaun and Tracy!

Has it been that long?

Guess we've been focused elsewhere since Thanksgiving and to that our apologies.

So after a wonderful visit to Minneapolis, bringing me closer to the MN family, we have been working on more and more wedding things. String quartet or more DJ, wedding party gifts, constant calls with the folks, Tracy has scheduled her first dress fitting for next Saturday as well. Also Christmas plans for Omaha and shopping... I've been busy with the photo thing and I can't tell you how busy Tracy has been with ON activities.

Last Friday, Tracy took a break from work and we met the Browns and Tillmans in Chicago at the Multimillion dollar park.... I mean Millenium Park for some ice skating... ask us about the Zamboni driver.... I hadn't been on skates since '99... wow, crazy to think I played Junior A. Good time by all, just another preview for 2-6-10!

Anyway, I'll work on some better consistency on posting... hope everyone is gearing up for the holidays and enjoying themselves!
